During 2024 the CCA has focused on a number of projects including; A Village Plan, a Village Website and Youth activities.

Collector Community Plan

The Collector Community Plan was finalised and launched on 5 July 2025.

A big thank you to Ratch Australia for providing the funding for the project, LOCALE for listening, collating and preparing the Village Report.

Most of all a very big thank you everyone who contributed to the plan.

Website

Our original website was very basic and could not keep up with changes and dates for functions around town. The new site is much more dynamic and will be updated by the people and organisations themselves leading to much more up to date information. The village web site will be a central point to get the most relevant information for Collector.

Collector Village Roundup

The CCA puts out a monthly online newsletter called the Collector Village Roundup for the community. Community members can register to receive the monthly newsletter directly to your email box in the first week of each month.  Contributions to the Collector Village Roundup can be emailed by the 20th of each month.

Youth Activities

Jen Poile is the CCA’s amazing Youth Co-ordinator. She has planned and a found funding for a range of activities available to young people in Collector.  Check out the Events page for upcoming Youth Activities.

Mums & Bubs Postpartum Exercise, Read, Sing, Play group. We meet Fridays at the Hall until 12 December 2025. This is a friendly, informal get-together where Mums can exercise, and babies and toddlers enjoy storytime, songs, and plenty of wiggles. All children must be supervised. Gunning District Landcare 

The CCA has partnered with Gunning District Landcare to provide valuable landcare support and services to the Collector District.  Our local representative is Kate McKay.  Gunning District Landcare provide regular seminars which will be included in the Events list on the Collector Website Events page or you can check out all the upcoming events and other resources at https://gdl.org.au/.
